After Friday and Saturday off, Westport jumps back into Little League World Series action on Sunday afternoon with a game against Sammamish, Wash.

The game will be broadcast live at 2 p.m. on ABC-TV.

New England champion Westport moved into the winners bracket with a thrilling 3-2 win over Southeast champ Nashville, Tenn., Thursday night in its World Series debut.

Northwest champion Sammamish won its opener, 8-4 over the Southwest champion Corpus Christi, Tex., Thursday afternoon.

Sammamish is a city of 45,000 on the shores of Lake Sammamish, about 20 miles east of Seattle. The team's victory over the Southwest champion -- typically one of the stronger U.S. teams in Williamsport -- raised a few eyebrows.
