Weston High senior Emily Savage set a state record in the girls pole vault on Thursday with a leap of 12 feet, 7 inches at the Class S state indoor track championships.

The Trojans finished second with 67 points, while Bloomfield captured the title with 78 points at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven. Old Saybrook (42), Northwest Catholic (41) and Weaver (24) rounded out the top five.

Savage broke her own indoor mark of 12-02, which she set at the New Balance Games in New York on Jan. 26. Darien's Robin Bone held the outdoor record of 12-06 since 2010.

Savage also placed third in the high jump with mark of 5-feet. Bloomfield's Natori Jones won the event, jumping 5-04.

Weston also captured a victory in the 4x800 relay as Jordan Isaacs, Olivia Watson, Alexa Werner, Jane Wall, Charlotte Cenatiempo and Rhemi Toth clocked in at 9:51.21.

In the 1000 meter run, freshman Rhemi Toth took second in 3:10.77, while senior Sara Dietzman was the runner-up in the long jump (17-01).

The Trojans' 1600 sprint medley team of Amanda Matluck, Cenatiempo, Watson, Toth, Whitney Farber and Nathalie Feingold placed second in 4:29.32. Dietzman, Matluck, Farber and Feingold also took third in the 4x200 meter relay in 1:50.51.
