Two Westport gymnasts captured first place in their age groups at the USA Gymnastics' level 4 state championships Feb. 8 at Killingly High School.

Natalie Parker was the top 10 year old, and Maisy McAlister finished first in the 9- to 9.5-year-old division.

Parker scored a 37.125 on all-around, including a 9 on bars, 9.55 on beam, 9.3 on floor and 9.275 on vault. McAlister posted scores of 9.3, 9.525, 9.25 and 8.75 for an all-around score of 36.85.

A third Westporter, Emmie Thaw, finished eighth in the 9- to 9.5 age group with a score of 33.95. All three compete for Arena Gymnastics, a Stamford program that took home first place in the team competition.
