WESTBROOK — State police have recovered a vehicle recovered and identified a person of interest identified connected to a stabbing in Middlesex Health Shoreline Medical Center’s parking lot.

Troop F troopers out of Westbrook were sent to the medical center’s parking area around 3:25 p.m. Thursday for a report of an ongoing assault, according to state police.

“Detectives determined an altercation took place in the parking lot between the victim and the accused, which resulted in the victim being stabbed,” state police said in a post.

Central District Major Crime Squad Detectives are continuing to follow up on leads pertaining to this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
