Connecticut's culinary landscape is getting pretty prestigious.

We've got Food Network, competition winners and James Beard finalists all in our backyard, so there's no reason to have a bad meal in this state.

The latest celebrity chef to join the party is Chef Tyler Anderson. In mid-April, James Beard nominated Anderson will reveal his new restaurant Porrón & Piña, one of the most anticipated openings this year.

Earlier this year, Brian Lewis of The Cottage in Westport was named a James beard semifinalist for best chef in the northeast. In late 2017, Chef Steven Costanzo of Olio in Stamford won an episode of Food "Network's Chopped."

Seasoned celebrity chefs like Mario Batali and Bobby Flay also have restaurants here Fairfield County. Over in New Haven, Chef Bun Lai opened the first sustainable sushi restaurant in the world.
