Stratford man arrested after disturbance at Westport home
WESTPORT - A 43-year-old Stratford man has been arrested for disorderly conduct after a disturbance at a Westport home
Shortly after 11 a.m. on Saturday Feb. 8, officers responded to a local residence on a report of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, and in speaking with the caller, she reported that she had returned to her home to find an individual known to her as Akida McKnight waiting in the driveway.
She alleged that a verbal argument had ensued between the two which culminated in McKnight striking her in the head.
Upon announcing that she planned to call police to report the matter, McKnight reportedly left the area.
Contact was later made with McKnight who denied the allegations, but did admit to traveling to the complainant’s home as reported.
Based on this investigation, an arrest warrant was sought and granted for McKnight in connection with this incident.
McKnight later turned himself in at police headquarters on this outstanding arrest warrant.
He was able to post a $2,500 bond and was arraigned in Norwalk Superior Court on Thursday.
