BRIDGEPORT — A gunshot wound victim turned up at a city hospital Saturday night, according to police.

Around 9:30 p.m., personnel at Bridgeport Hospital alerted police to a gunshot wound victim that showed up for medical treatment.

Scott Appleby, director of the city’s emergency communications department, said a bullet crazed the person’s head, adding that the wound was not life-threatening.

Appleby said the person has not been cooperative with police, leading to little progress in the investigation.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Bridgeport police at 203-576-TIPS.
