PD: 2 hurt in Bridgeport crash involving motorcycle
BRIDGEPORT — Two individuals were seriously wounded in a collision in the city Thursday night, according to initial dispatch reports.
At 9:08 p.m., the city’s 911 dispatch center got a call about a crash at the intersection of State Street and Park Avenue involving a motorcycle, police said.
Scott Appleby, the city’s director of emergency communications and emergency management, called it a “severe” crash.
The first fire unit on the scene shortly after the call was dispatched reported two people with “serious” injuries, requesting that the dispatcher send two ambulances, initial dispatch reports indicated.
Police confirmed there were “two parties down due to a motorcycle accident” at that intersection. Park Avenue was shut down between Hanover and State streets as crews investigated.
There was no further information immediately available Thursday night.
