BRIDGEPORT — City police are looking for information on a stabbing that left one male victim wounded, officials said Saturday.
The call came in to from Bridgeport Hospital around 1:19 p.m. for a male victim who walked into the emergency department “with possible stab wounds,” said Scott Appleby, the city’s director of emergency management/communications and homeland security.
Officers responded to the hospital and questioned the victim.
While talking to the officers, Appleby said, the victim told them “he was followed by two suspects near Boston Avenue and Pembroke Street and they attacked him.”
The victim thought he was being punched, but quickly realized he had been cut, Appleby said. He said the suspects took a bottle of alcohol from the victim and fled.
Appleby said the victim took off east on Boston Avenue and walked to the hospital.
He said the victim had a bad cut to the left arm and was sliced on his face.
