Four teens were injured early Sunday morning after a dispute led to a drive-by shooting.

About 1 a.m. Conroe police responded to an aggravated assault call in the 1200 block of Pleasant Drive. When they arrived, they found four people shot.

The victims were transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center and treated. Three were released and the fourth is in stable condition, according to a police statement.

Police report that two groups, possibly from opposing gangs, had a verbal altercation that caused one group to leave. Reportedly, several people from the group that left returned and shot into the crowd during a drive-by shooting. They turned around and fired more shots as the vehicle left, the statement said.

Officers found the suspected vehicle and took the sole occupant into custody, confiscating a handgun.

All individuals involved in the ongoing investigation are between 16 and 18 years old, police said.
