A 10-year-old girl was struck by a car in a northeast Harris County parking lot Saturday night after a fight erupted outside an apartment complex, officials said.

Several men were fighting at the Croston Apartments at the 9500 block of Croston around 11:25 p.m. Saturday night. As they began to flee the scene, the girl was struck by a dark colored vehicle.

That vehicle left without stopping. The girl was taken to Texas Children's Hospital with a broken leg.

Police also believe a man may have also been struck by the vehicle, but it was unclear what injuries he may have suffered.

Police are searching for the vehicle, but do not have much description. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call HPD Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477 (TIPS) or the HPD Hit and Run Division at 713-247-4065.
