An Amber Alert issued early Saturday for a 4-month-old baby has been cancelled.

According to the alert, Kaitlyn Lavois' grandmother, Robin Lavois, had taken the girl Friday afternoon from a child care facility without permission from the baby's parents.

Pasadena police spokesman Vance Mitchell said the baby was found safe with her grandmother about 10:45 a.m. Saturday in Pasadena and was returned home.

"One of our patrol officers spotted the vehicle in the 2800 block of Preston," Mitchell said of the 1996 Toyota Camry the grandmother was driving.

"They stopped the grandmother, talked to her and took her into custody," Mitchell said.

Before being found, the baby and grandmother had last been seen about 4:30 p.m. Friday in Baytown.
