WESTPORT — School officials reported two new cases of the coronavirus in the district Monday evening.

One case is at Coleytown Elementary School and the other is at Bedford Middle School, Superintendent Thomas Scarice announced in a letter to families and staff.

“Both cases involved individuals already quarantining based on exposures outside of school,” he wrote.

Scarice also reminded families to report positive cases of students to the district’s reporting hotline and email, regardless of whether the students are in remote or hybrid learning models.

“In our efforts to remain transparent with reports of positive COVID-19 cases associated with our schools, we will continue to provide these updates as information is confirmed,” he wrote.
