STAMFORD — Matt Greenberg, CEO of Jewish Family Services, and Stamford Mayor David Martin visited the Freedberg Family Kosher Food Pantry in Stamford.

The food pantry, run out of the Elayne and James Schoke Jewish Family Service of Fairfield County, has been supplying hundreds of families in lower Fairfield County with much needed meals, groceries and other essential items, as well as providing mental services and counseling to those less fortunate in the community.

The pantry operates three days a week, and it provides home delivery of prepared meals to individuals and families without transportation twice a week. The organization partnered with the Connecticut Food Bank of Fairfield County.
