The Westport Arts Center plans its 2014 annual fundraiser, "Wonderland: A Mad Art Party," on Saturday, April 26. The arts center will be honoring Ann Sheffer as their "Queen of Arts."

Sheffer is a founding member of the Westport Arts Center when it merged with the Westport/Weston Arts Council, a member of the Connecticut Arts Council and a board member of the Westport Country Playhouse. She was a member of the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities from 1993-2000 and a board member of Americans for the Arts, and chairwoman of its Arts Action Fund.

The Gallaher Mansion at Cranbury Park, 300 Grumman Ave. in Norwalk, will be the site of the fundraiser. Built in 1930 by industrialist/inventor Edward Beach Gallaher, the limestone Tudor Revival mansion is styled with carvings, stained-glass windows and walnut-paneled rooms.

There will be a cocktail reception and dinner at 5:30 p.m., with the Wonderland party beginning at 8 p.m.

Co-chairwomen for the event are Westport Arts Center board member Kristen Briner and Westporter Cailtin Burke.

Tickets for Wonderland: A Mad Art Party are $500 for the honoree reception and dinner and $225 for the party. To purchase tickets, visit or call 203-222-7070.
