WESTPORT — A Winsted woman was charged with creating a public disturbance last week after police said she began swearing at employees of a local bank and refused to leave.
Sarah Woozley, 37, of Coe Street in Winsted, was charged after the incident at the Chase Bank office on Main Street about 5:30 p.m. April 26.
After officers were called to the bank to check on a reported disturbance, police said Woozley had been yelling at employees and, when asked, refused to leave. She then was put in handcuffs and led from the bank, according to the bank.
Bond was set at $500, and Woozley was scheduled to appear Wednesday at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
