Tracy Carbone, 49, of Fairfield, was charged Tuesday with forging a prescription for a controlled substance in Westport following a motor vehicle stop in Fairfield.

Police in Fairfield discovered that a warrant for Carbone's arrest had been issued by Westport police in connection with a November 2010 incident, during which Carbone reportedly tried to purchase Oxycodone pills with a fake prescription at Walgreens.

Carbone was charged with second-degree forgery and criminal attempt at possession of a controlled substance. She was released on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear April 20 in Norwalk Superior Court.
