Woman charged with shoplifting at supermarket
A man alerted Stop & Shop management that Fredericks may have been attempting "some sort of scam because he had observed her acting suspicious in two other stores in town," police said.
Fredericks was then seen concealing two dolls in a plastic bag and leaving the store without making any attempt to pay for them, police said.
She was charged with sixth-degree larceny. Unable to post a $500 bond, she was taken to Norwalk Superior Court for arraignment.
