Rosita Moreno, 61, of Stamford, was charged early Saturday with driving under the influence.

She was seen driving north on Riverside Avenue without her vehicle's headlights illuminated, police said. She was then seen driving on the wrong side of the road and crossing over the double-yellow lines, police said.

After Moreno was stopped, an officer said he smelled alcohol on her breath. She also failed field sobriety tests, according to police.

Moreno was charged with operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, failure to display lights and failure to drive right. She was released after posting a $500 cash bond. She is scheduled to appear April 30 in Norwalk Superior Court.
