Four Westport residents have been named to the board of directors of the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County, the Bridgeport-based organization announced.

They are: Tom Green, John Moody, Duncan O'Brien and Jeff Ruden.

Green worked for the Westport public schools from 1971 to 2003 and also as a computer-technology consultant for nearly 20 years, United Way said in a news release.

Moody was a longtime Pitney Bowes executive and retired at the company's executive vice president, according to the release.

O'Brien is the general manager of global business development for the General Electric Co., overseeing mergers and acquisitions and corporate strategy, United Way said.

Ruden is a vice president and senior commercial lender for the Bank of Fairfield, where he is responsible for commercial loans and business development, according to the release.
