Traveling far to perform her sport is natural for Coleytown Middle School sixth grader Miranda Wright, 11. With no local outlets for archery in or near Westport, Wright must travel to East Manchester's Hall's Arrow to be part of the JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) program. This is the beginning step for future Olympic shooters in this country, and is very competitive.

This past weekend, Wright went further than East Manchester by traveling to Andover, MA. where she won her division last weekend at the 42nd U.S. National Indoor Championship and the JOAD National Indoor Championship.
