Westport woman arrested for failing to pay cab fare
WESTPORT — A Westport woman was arrested for refusing to pay her cab fare, police said.
On Oct. 20 around 6 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Tiffany Lane residence on report that a woman refused to pay her cab fare. Upon arrival, officers learned Ruth Ramos, 54, took a cab from Norwalk to her Westport home and was unable to pay the fare.
Ramos was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny. She was released on a $500 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on Oct. 22.
