Skies across southwestern Connecticut are expected to be mostly sunny, with a daytime high temperature of about 53 degrees. There will be a west wind between 5 and 9 mph.

Rain is forecast overnight, mainly after midnight, as the temperature falls to a low around 38.

Tomorrow will also be rainy, with the possibility of light flurries and sleet in the afternoon. The temperature will reach a high in the upper-40s, the NWS says. Tomorrow night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 30 degrees.

Saturday will be partly sunny, with a high near 41 degrees. Clouds move in at night, with a low temperature in the upper-20s.

On Sunday, Christmas Day, skies should be mostly cloudy, the weather service predicts, with a high temperature near 42 degrees.
