After strong thunderstorms rocked southwestern Connecticut early this morning, skies are expected to gradually clear today and the temperatur will rise to a daytime high of about 80 degrees.
The National Weather Service says skies will remain clear tonight as the temperature dips to a low of about 60 degrees.
Tomorrow should be sunny, with a high near 77 degrees, and a northwest wind around 11 mph. The nighttime low temperature will be in the mid-60s.
Friday is also expected to be sunny, with a high near 81. Friday night will be mostly clear with a low around 65.
Saturday will set the standard for what the weather service predicts should be a star-spangled Independence Day weekend through Monday: sunny days with temperatures in the mid- to upper-80s and no precipitation on tap.
