Westport weather: Storm warnings

Strong storms are possible this afternoon and tonight, the National Weather Service warns in a issuing a "hazardous weather outlook" for the region today.
Showers and thunderstorms -- some with strong winds and downpours -- are expected to move across southwestern Connecticut after midday as the daytime high temperature rises to the low-80s under cloudy skies.
The threat of strong storms remains in tonight's forecast, with a low temperature about 70 degrees. There also can be patches of fog across the area after midnight, the NWS says.
Showers are also likely tomorrow, as well as possible thunderstorms, scattered throughout the day. Skies will be cloudy and the temperature will rise to a high in the mid-80s. Overnight, there remains a chance of precipitation as the temperature dips to the upper-60s.
Sunday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-80s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-60s.
Monday should be sunny with temperatures in the low-80s. Some clouds move in Monday night as the temperature registers a low in the upper-60s.
The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is mostly sunny and temperatures in the low-80s.
