Lingering showers could dampen this morning's commute, the National Weather Service says, but gradual clearing will bring sunny skies for most of the day.

Under those bright skies, the temperature should rise to a daytime high of about 80 degrees with a northeast wind 5 to 9 mph. There remains a 20 percent chance of precipitation, the NWS says.

Tonight will be partly cloudy, with the temperature dipping to a low in the low-60s and a south wind around 6 mph.

Tomorrow is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature about 80 degrees. By nighttime, however, there is a 40 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms after midnight as skies cloud over and the temperature declines to a low in the mid-60s.

On Sunday, showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly after noon. It is expected to be a mostly cloudy say, with a high temperature in the mid-80s. Chance of daytime precipitation is 60 percent. Sunday night also will see a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms likely, with the temperature registering in the mid-60s.

Monday should be partly sunny, with the high temperature in the low-80s, although there is a 40 percent chance of precipitation. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-60s.

The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the 80s.
