Westport weather: Day-long rain, flood advisory in effect

The heavy early-morning rain is expected to continue periodically throughout the day across southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service, which has issued a coastal flood advisory from 1 to 4 p.m. today.
Showers, along with a possible thunderstorm, are remain possible during the day as the temperature rises to a high in the upper-60s. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent, the NWS says.
Tonight, more rain is possible, mainly before 9 p.m. Clouds will begin slowly clearing later as the temperature dips to a low in the mid-50s. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
Tomorrow should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature rising to near 70 degrees. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-40s.
Sunday also should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-60s. Sunday is expected to be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-40s.
Sunny skies are again in the forecast for Monday, with a high temperature in the mid-60s. Monday night will be mostly clear, with a low temperature about 50 degrees.
The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is sunny and temperatures in the mid-60s.
