Skies will be sunny today in southwestern Connecticut, but that won't help the temperature rise above 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Making things seem even chillier, the NWS says, will be a north wind between 8 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Tonight will be clear, with an overnight low temperature tumbling below freezing to about 30 degrees.

Tomorrow should be sunny, with a high near 53 degrees. Clouds move in by evening, but clear out later. The low temperature is expected to be about 33 degrees.

Saturday also will be sunny, with a high near 48 degrees. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low around 36 degrees.

The outlook for Sunday is a mostly sunny day, the weather service says, with a high temperature near 51 degrees.
