The work week could start on a stormy note, according to the National Weather Service.

Showers and thunderstorms could dampen southwestern Connecticut throughout the day, and some of the storms could trigger downpours and gusty winds, the NWS warns.

Otherwise, today's high temperature is expected to rise to the low-70s.

More scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible tonight and into early tomorrow, as the temperature dips to the upper-50s.

Tomorrow there is a chance of showers, mainly after 1 p.m. Skies otherwise should be partly sunny and the temperature will be in the low-70s. There is a slight chance of showers tomorrow night and the temperatures will register a low in the upper-50s.

On Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny, but there is a slight chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible, after 11 a.m. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s.

The outlook for Thursday, the weather service says, is mostly sunny and temperatures in the mid-80s.
