An afternoon tea at the Westport Center for Senior Activities raised $1,000 to help provide transportation for seniors.
The tea, which took place on Aug. 21 which is National Senior Citizens Day, benefited ITNCoastalCT, a nonprofit organization that provides transportation for seniors 60 and older and for visually impaired adults.
More than 40 guests enjoyed tea donated by Bigelow Teas, as well as food items from Garelick and Herbs, Great Cakes and Caraluzzi's Markets. The Saugatuck Chamber Players serenaded guests with classical music selections.
