Westport schools to test alarm system

WESTPORT — During the week of June 20 the Westport Public Schools will be testing an alarm and voice alert system.

When the alarm testing begins an alert will sound for approximately five minutes on both the internal and external horns at the school.

“We wanted to inform the public of the scheduled testing, and not to be alarmed if they hear the audible alert coming from a school during this week long time period,” a statement from police read.

The Westport Police Department will continue to work with the Westport Public Schools during the scheduled alarm testing at the schools.
