WESTPORT — School officials reported six new cases of COVID-19 in the district on Monday.

In an email to Westport families and staff, Superintendent Thomas Scarice said four of the new cases were at Long Lots Elementary School. One case was found at Saugatuck Elementary School and one case was found at Staples High School, he said.

“Those impacted have been notified by school and district officials,” Scarice wrote. “As a reminder, families are asked to report positive COVID-19 cases of students using our reporting voicemail or email regardless of whether the students are in remote or hybrid models of instruction.”

Families should visit the district’s website to learn more about reporting cases.
