A Westport executive was recently appointed to the board of trustees for George Washington University in Washinghton, D.C.

David A. Nadler, who earned a bachelor of arts degree from the school in 1970, is vice chairman of Marsh & McLennan Cos., a professional services firm. For 20 years, he was chief executive officer of Delta Consulting Group, which joined Marsh & McLennan in 2000. Prior to founding Delta Consulting, he taught as an associate professor at the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University.

He received a bachelor of arts degree in international affairs from George Washington University, a masters in business administration from Harvard Business School and a master of arts and a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Michigan. Nadler also serves as vice president of the board of trustees of Prep for Prep and is a member of the board of directors of the New York City Ballet. He also is the chairman of George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs International Advisory Council.
