Susan Tighe, 44, of Wilton Road, was charged with driving under the influence early Friday.

Police said an officer saw Tighe go through a red traffic light at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Main Street. Tighe's vehicle then reportedly crossed the double-yellow traffic line as it made a left turn on King's Highway North at the intersection with Canal Street. Her vehicle then reportedly made another wide turn onto Wilton Road, as she continued to drive with the two driver-side wheels completely over the double-yellow lines, according to police.

Once stopped, police said Tighe had a "strong odor" of alcohol on her breath. She also reportedly failed field sobriety tests.

Tighe was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to drive in the proper lane and failure to obey a control signal.

She was released on $500 bond, and is scheduled to appear Dec. 27 in Norwalk Superior Court.
