Katleen Dicesare, 50, of Wedgewood Road, was charged with driving under the influence Tuesday after she was seen violating a "No Turn on Red" traffic sign, police said.

Dicesare made the alleged improper turn at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Post Road West just before midnight Tuesday, police said. When an officer approached her car, he detected a strong odor of alcohol, police said. She failed field sobriety tests and, after submitting to breath tests at police headquarters, was found to have alcohol levels of 0.199 and 0.190, police said. The legal limit is 0.08.

In addition to the DUI violation, Dicesare was charged with failure to obey a traffic control signal and having an unregistered vehicle.

She posted $500 bond and is set to appear July 1 in Norwalk Superior Court.
