The Plumed Serpent Bridal, a bridal shop at 295 Post Road East, is slated to be featured tonight (Friday, Sept. 14) on the TLC reality program, "I Found the Gown." The program will be shown on the cable television network at 10 p.m.

The show is hosted by Rick and Leslie DeAngelo, owners of Vows Bridal Outlet, who travel around the country to visit bridal salons, close-outs, back rooms, liquidations, factories and warehouses to find the right dress for all kinds of brides and budgets.

Alison Fischer, the owner, has experience in the New York City fashion world with brands like Nicole Miller and Ralph Lauren, and took over the former prom-dress shop in Westport about a decade ago. In 2007, she renovated the space and expanded it by 1,800 square feet, according to a news release.

Design labels in her shop, which carries bridal gowns, bridesmaids' dresses, dresses for other occasions and accessories, include Monique Lhuillier, Oscar de la Renta, Temperley London, Caroline Castigliano and Elizabeth Fillmore, among others.

In addition to bridal gown trunk shows, the shop hosts regular shows highlighting designer accessories and couture accents exclusive to Plumed Serpent brides. Interested brides must RSVP in advance for trunk show and designer events by calling 203-226-9868.

Shop hours, by appointment only, are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
