All the sales receipts collected at Westport Wash & Wax on Sept. 4 have been donated to Homes with Hope, the local agency that deals with issues of hunger and homelessness.

Called “Good Neighbor Day” by the Tiefenthaler family, who own the business at 786 Post Road East, the revenue was added to the total of more than $75,000 that has been raised by the annual event for the last 15 years, according to Homes with Hope.

“Our organization is very grateful for the support that the Tiefenthalers have provided to our programs over the years, and every day we make sure that the funds we raise are used efficiently and effectively,” Jeff Wieser, the president & CEO of Homes with Hope, said in the statement.
