WESTPORT — Town police are hoping the public can help identify a suspect accused of stealing a wallet from someone at a local bank.

Police said the woman pictured allegedly took the victim’s wallet around 2:20 p.m. on Sept. 11 while at the Bank of America at 126 Post Road East.

“The suspect was seen picking up the wallet on surveillance by the Bank of America security team,” police said. “The surveillance confirmed the wallet was picked up by a woman in a red colored hooded sweatshirt carrying a large shoulder bag.”

Police said several transactions were made in Bridgeport using the victim’s Bank of America credit card hours after the wallet was taken.
