Westport Library to host author with dyslexia
The Westport Public Library and Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities will hold a talk by author Peter Schultz on his memoir, "My Dyslexia," at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.
Schultz, who won the Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for his poetry collection "Failure," did not learn to read until he was 11 years old as a result of dyslexia. He did not discover he had the reading disorder until his oldest son was diagnosed with the same condition.
