The Westport Public Library will hold a holiday book sale 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 3, and 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 4, on the library's lower riverwalk level, 20 Jesup Road. A children's librarian will be on hand to answer questions and suggest books for children 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 3.

The sale will have a wide selection of gift-quality books in pristine condition at reasonable prices, according to a release from the library. Selections will include fiction books, nonfiction books and new DVDs, CDs and audiobooks.

New this year, the sale will also include several original oil paintings by the late Joanne Debergh Dublin, who lived in Westport and Weston for many years. The pieces will be offered in a silent auction held both days.

Dublin was active in the Westport Art Council and some of her paintings were exhibited in a council show at Town Hall in the 1990s, as well as in galleries in Washington and New York City, the release states. An active volunteer with the Staples High School Players, she had a long career as a choreographer and dance instructor.
