WESTPORT — A Norwalk man allegedly had several containers of marijuana in his car when an officer pulled him over early Monday.
An officer said she saw a car driving in the middle of two lanes on Post Road East around 12:30 a.m. Feb. 6 and stopped the car near Ludlow Road. Walking toward the car, she smelled marijuana and called in a K-9 and officer, police said. The police dog then allegedly sniffed out a container of marijuana and paraphernalia in a backpack in the car driven by Samuel Leblanc.
Another backpack with containers of suspected marijuana and other THC-containing substances was found in the trunk, according to police. The marijuana found in Leblanc’s car totaled 1.5 ounces of the drug.
The 20-year-old resident of Starlight Drive in Norwalk was arrested Feb. 6 and charged with possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $500 ahead of a Feb. 21 court date.
