The Westport Farmers Market will begin its seventh summer season 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24, in the Imperial Avenue commuter lot.

The market will take place there at that time every Thursday through the season

The market will feature 30 vendors selling locally produced meats, dairy, breads, seafood, produce, wine and other products, many of which will be free of genetically modified organisms. The market will also host a booth on maintaining a healthier lifestyle and working with local youth toward a sustainable future.

Farm-to-table chefs from Fairfield County will also appear weekly to conduct classes and demos on using locally produced, seasonal ingredients

Beginning this year, the market will also feature a local nonprofit each week and an "Artist Alley" displaying work by local artists.
