Westport EMS to hold safe driving course

Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Service will hold its next National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course DDC-6 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5 and 12, at Westport Police/EMS Headquarters, 50 Jesup Road. The course will cover the most current information from the National Safety Council about "Stay Safe 24/7," according to a news release.
Students must attend both nights of this classroom program to receive a course completion certificate. Many insurance companies offer seniors a discount on their auto insurance after completing the course, the release states.
The fee is $15 per student, payable to Westport Volunteer EMS.
