The Westport Arts Center will hold a performance by the Pacifica Quartet at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 5, in the center's gallery, 51 Riverside Ave.

The group will perform the Quartet in B-Flat Major, Op. 76, No. 4 ("Sunrise") by Joseph Haydn, the Quartet No. 2 in A Major by Dmitri Shostakovich, and the String Quartet No. 1 in E Minor, "From My Life," by Bedrich Smetana.

The quartet tours extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia, performing regularly in the world's major concert halls, according to a news release.

Named the quartet-in-residence at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music in March 2012, the group also served as the quartet-in-residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 2009 to 2012 and received the 2009 Grammy Award for Best Chamber Music Performance.

Tickets cost $45; $10 for students. A limited number of tickets will be available for $30 at the Westport Center for Senior Activities, in advance of the event, the release states.
