Boys XC go 2-1

The Weston boys cross country team went 2-1 in a quad-meet Tuesday to move to 5-1.

Weston defeated Immaculate, 22-33, and Masuk, 21-40, but lost 24-33 to Pomperaug.

David Stankiewicz won the race for the Trojans with a time of 17:39.

Girls XC lose three

The Weston girls cross-country team got swept in a quad-meet Tuesday and dropped to 0-6.

Pomperaug (15-49), Immaculate (15-44) and Masuk (22-37) vanquished Weston. Sara Schweitzer (23:38) led the Lady Trojans and was 14th overall.

Swimmers win

The Weston girls swimming team raised its record to 2-1 with a 97-82 win over New Milford.

Alex Edgar, Julia DeMarco and Emily Olin delivered wins for the Lady Trojans in the 50-yard freestyle, diving and 200-yard freestyle, respectively.

Volleyball beats KC

The Weston girls volleyball team defeated Kolbe Cathedral 3-0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-21) Wednesday.

Field hockey loses

The Weston field hockey team lost twice this week, its most recent a 3-1 verdict to Masuk. Anna Mahony made eight saves and had 20 for the week. Julia Armijo scored the team's first goal of the year.

Boys soccer wins

The Weston boys soccer team evened its record to 2-2 with a 6-0 win over Seymour.

Charles DeMarco netted three goals and Josh Karpen scored two for the Trojans.

Lady Trojans boot KC

The Weston girls soccer team defeated Kolbe Cathedral 10-1 Thursday. Grace Mattison had three goals and Morgan Murray and Hailey Singer each had two tallies.

Weston lost 4-2 to Bethel Saturday and dropped to 2-3. Mattison and Alex Werner scored for the Lady Trojans.
