Walker, Lumaj endorse Stefanowski
Bob Stefanowski, the businessman from Madison who skipped the convention to petition his way onto the August primary ballot, has picked up endorsements from two fallen Republican candidates for governor.
David Walker, who served as Comptroller General of the United States and failed to garner delegate support at the state Republican convention, is the latest to back Stefanowski. Stefanowksi is funding his own campaign.
“Bob is a former practicing Certified Public Accountant and a political outsider who has extensive executive experience in large and complex organizations,” Walker said in a statement.
Stefanowski also picked up an endorsement this week from Peter Lumaj, the Fairfield immigration lawyer who marketed himself as the most conservative candidate in the field but also failed to drum up enough delegate support to make it to the primary ballot.
