Victor J. Wall, 66, died Sept. 3, 2010, at the Health Center of the Southbury Training School.

The son of the late Phyllis and Victor Wall, he had been a resident of Southbury Training School most of his life. He liked fishing, swimming, bicycling, golfing and skiing, and participated in the Special Olympics for many years. Assistance in those accomplishments was made possible by volunteers who donated their time for special-needs people.

He is survived by sisters Carol Muller and husband, Julius, of Fairfield, and Phyllis Kuhn and husband, Donald, of Redington Shores, Fla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury. Calling hours are from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass in the daily chapel of Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at about 1:30 p.m. in Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield. Because of the distance between the church and cemetery, mourners may come to either venue.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Southbury Training School Recreational Department, Attn.: Keith Davis, Southbury Training School, P.O. Box 872, Southbury, CT 06488.
