WESTPORT — Police said they found drugs, including marijuana and mushrooms, at a South Compo Road home earlier this year, leading to the arrest Friday of a Trumbull man.

On April 11, police received reports of an intoxicated male causing a ruckus in the backyard of a Compo Road South residence. At the scene, police learned the man — 32-year-old Ryan O’Keefe — had fled to a Gault Avenue residence.

When police searched the Gault Avenue house, they discovered 32-year-old Joshua Lindwall, as well as revealed numerous bottles of alcohol, pill bottles of hydrocodone — commonly known by the brand-name Vicodin — and oxycodone, two grams of marijuana and 14 grams of psilocybin, known as mushrooms.

While Lindwall was charged Aug. 8 with charged with possession of a controlled substance, O’Keefe was not charged until Aug. 18, when he turned himself in to police. O’Keefe, of Evelyn Street in Trumbull, was charged with possession of a hallucinogenic drug. He was released on a $10,000 bond ahead of an Aug. 24 court date.
