Nancy Aekin-Islam, 46, of Stamford was charged at 5 p.m. June 25 with second-degree failure to appear in court and several motor vehicle violations.
According to the report, Aekins-Islam was pulled over for not displaying her license plate, and following a check, police said the rear plate belonged on another car, and also that her car was unregistered and uninsured, and her license was under suspension. A computer check revealed that she was wanted in Trumbull for failing to appear in court for an unspecified misdemeanor.
Aekin-Islam's bail was set at $500 and she is scheduled to appear July 6 in Norwalk Superior Court.
