Mother Nature may not be able to make up her mind about the almost-spring weather, but that doesn't mean you can't decide to have a good time this weekend in Westport. Here's a few ideas:

Believe it or not, summer will be here, eventually. Stock up on some beach reads this weekend at the Westport Library's End-of-Winter Book Sale. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Come Monday, books will be half-price, while Tuesday they're free for the taking. Call 203-291-4800 or visit

Go "en pointe" and help Ballet Etudes Co. celebrate its 25th anniversary Saturday at the Westport Country Playhouse, 25 Powers Court. Performances are 1 and 4:30 p.m., and a reception will follow the later performance. Tickets for the show alone are $20 to $40, while tickets for the show and reception are $45 to $65. For tickets, call the box office at 203-227-4177.

Be part of a world-wide yoga event to raise awareness about human trafficking Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Kaia Yoga, 1200 Post Road East. The yoga class will be led by Cheryl Simcox, accompanied by P.J. Pacifico on acoustic guitar. A $20 donation is suggested, and all donations will go Odanadi Seva Trust, an anti-trafficking organization.

Take part in some Purim fun all weekend long at Beit Chaverim Synagogue, 85 Post Road West, beginning Saturday at 8 p.m. with the Megillah reading. Sunday's schedule includes a Torah service at 9 a.m., and a second Megillah reading at 10 a.m. A costume parade, complete with prizes, will follow. Activities are free.
